The Quality committee of MiBAP seeks to provide formal recommendations on standards of practice as it relates to the quality of clinical service provision as well as outcomes measurement practice. In a time when resources are allocated for results, it is essential to be able to demonstrate that providers are achieving the results for which they are being paid. This boosts the confidence of our stakeholders, including families receiving services. We strive for maintaining high quality services that achieve targeted outcomes. Without measurement and evaluation of these key areas, it is difficult to be confident in a provider’s practices. Our current goals include Identification of the elements of quality service; defining the outcomes that can expect from quality services; and, influencing the creation of a tool or identification of current tools that can be utilized for measuring outcomes to make formal recommendations on the use of these tools.
