Counties We Serve:
The University of Michigan-Dearborn is located in Wayne County, though our students serve clients located across the following counties: Oakland, Macomb, Saginaw, and Washtenaw.
About the Facility:
The mission of the M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis program at the University of Michigan-Dearborn is for its graduates to develop an understanding of the depth, breadth, and scope of behavior analysis. Through coursework and practical experiences firmly rooted in the science of behavior, the program seeks to train highly skilled behavioral practitioners who utilize data-based, empirical approaches to develop socially valid and culturally responsive treatment for those they serve.
Much like MiBAP seeks to support a high-quality network of providers, educate others on the science of ABA, and promote quality ABA service delivery, our ABA program at the University of Michigan-Dearborn seeks to train students to transition to careers as highly skilled behavior analysts who use evidence-based practices to address the behavioral needs of individuals in their communities.
Our program currently consists of two core faculty, one lecturer, and 25 graduate students. As a faculty member, it can be easy to be out of touch with challenges that clinicians face in practice. Joining MiBAP offers opportunities to stay informed about current clinical practices, policy issues, and challenges faced by clinicians here in Michigan. MiBAP membership would allow us to best prepare students to transition to careers in the field after graduation.
