September 2026 Webinar: Addressing Barriers Preventing Access to Quality Services Through Organizational Accreditation

Wednesday: September 30, 2026 @ 11am

Addressing Barriers Preventing Access to Quality Services Through Organizational Accreditation

For decades, applied behavior analysis (ABA) has been widely recognized as an effective treatment for autism by numerous independent, government, scientific, and professional bodies. Despite this support, the demand for quality ABA services is still largely not being met and there remain significant barriers preventing families from accessing the care they deserve. These barriers include, but are not limited to, provider availability, experience, expertise, and training as well as regulations and reimbursement models that fail to put patients first. Addressing these barriers will require comprehensive education efforts about their existence, adoption of industry standards developed and supported by the community, promotion of regulations and policies that prioritize patients over profits, and innovations that encourage the responsible use of technology to improve individualized care. A review of these barriers and how they may be addressed through organizational accreditation will be presented.

By the time this event is over, attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify the barriers preventing access to quality applied behavior analysis (ABA) services.
  2. Explain why addressing these barriers is necessary to promote the responsible growth of ABA.
  3. Describe how accreditation standards created and enforced by a trusted nonprofit can help address these barriers.
