Member Insurance Roundtable hosted by Taylor Barker

Taylor Barker is the owner of Ebb & Flow ABA Therapy in Flint, Michigan. Taylor has been certified since 2011 and has worked in a variety of states in the Midwest. Starting as a clinician in Indiana shortly after the passage of the state’s Autism Insurance Mandate, he worked closely with providers, families, and insurance companies to affect change in insurance coverage for our patients relevant to age, time of day, location of service (such as schools), and caps to coverage. Taylor was previously a member of the Board of Directors of MiBAP for 2 years and during that time has been a member of the Education Committee and initiated the creation of the Parity Workgroup, which he leads, along with testifying at legislative hearings regarding the changes MiBAP advocates for with our state’s legislature. After returning to his home-state of Michigan in 2017, Taylor has worked to advocate for and create service delivery approvals from insurances in school settings and for intensive center-based services for school-aged children. Taylor is an expert in Mental Health Parity laws and currently oversees ABA service delivery in a variety of schools and community locations through approvals from multiple commercial insurance funders.
